Professor Murray Gerkens, LL.B (Melb), GradCertAustImmLaw (VU), (MARN9792485) is a lawyer practising in Victoria, New South Wales and federal courts and tribunals throughout Australia. He acts directly for clients and also accepts briefs from legal practitioners throughout the country.
Murray has a long history in public administration and the law and was, amongst other things, Senior Magistrate, Chair of the Victorian Police Discipline Board, Panel Chair of the Financial Ombudsman Service (Investments/Life Insurance/Superannuation), Chair of the Metropolitan Fire Brigades Appeals Tribunal, Chair of the Country Fire Authority Appeals Tribunal, Member of the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and Head of the Australian Refugee Review Tribunal.
